Jonathan Montoya, DDS
Dr. Montoya began his dental journey as a dental assistant at a pediatric dental office where he quickly realized: we are all kids at heart.
As a military child and son of two mental health care professionals, Dr. Montoya decided to dedicate his life to making the dental experience as minimally miserable as possible and, dare he say, enjoyable!
Dr. Montoya spent three years working closely with world-renowned dentist Gordon Christensen at CRA now known as Clinicians Report®. He spent years studying dental materials, assisting with material and dental science projects, and even attending all available advanced training for experienced dentists given through Practical Clinical Courses. This experience set the foundation to a powerful early career.
Dr. M started his college career at Utah Valley University studying business management, and he went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, which is considered to be one of the top three dental schools in the world.
Post-dental school, Dr. M launched his career in an extremely busy corporate clinic in south Chicago. He averaged doing, monthly, the same procedures as most dentists complete in a whole year! Dr. Montoya’s wife decided she wanted to further advance her career in orthodontics and got the news she was accepted to UF College of Dentistry.
As part of his post-dental school training, Dr. Montoya invested nearly all his income into receiving the most prestigious and advanced training in cosmetic and implant dentistry. Dr. Montoya is now a Fellow of the International Congress of Implantology, an Implant Pathways Fellow, a Fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, an Accredited Member of the Academy of Facial Esthetics, and a member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
He recently also completed advanced training for oral and IV sedation from the world-renowned Stanley Malamed and Ken Reed. Dr. Montoya has rehabilitated over 300 wonderful patient smiles and is currently a Roving Implant Specialist for several dental offices around the state of Florida. In 2023, he will complete his advanced training in Biologic Bone Augmentation in Frankfurt, Germany as well as more training in IV sedation at ASAASD.
When Dr. M isn’t doing dentistry or dental-related training, you can find him doing other dental-related philanthropic work (he’s a dental nerd). Dr. Montoya is a Clinical Adjunct Professor at the UF College of Dentistry where he teaches students general dentistry and where he volunteers at the Freedom Clinic in Ocala offering community members free dentistry from the students via his supervision.
Other than anything actually dental-related, Dr. Montoya has a wonderful wife and two sons (Jett and Jaden). When he isn’t spending time with them, he likes to go camping, play soccer, free dive, and travel. If Dr. Montoya looks vaguely familiar, it’s because he appeared on America’s Got Talent in 2015 as a singer…he ultimately had to choose between being a dentist or a professional musician!

Dr. Abraham Asturia, DMD
Dr. Abraham Asturia was raised in Orlando, Florida, where his extensive dental needs would lead him to a great love for the profession he practices today. Through the enjoyable and transformative experience he felt from his providers, who would eventually become mentors, he decided to pursue this wonderful career and seeks to extend this experience to every patient who sits in his chair!
Dr. Asturia’s journey dates back to his acceptance to the University of Florida where he received a degree in nutritional sciences and graduated with honors. During his undergraduate years, he volunteered his time serving the local community as a tour guide and campus recruiter for future students and Gator sports athletes. His love for sports would find him playing in various intramural sports from volleyball to a championship win in flag football!
Dr. Asturia’s love for this new Ivy League would lead him back to the University of Florida where he earned his Doctorate in Dental Medicine (DMD). He graduated from one of the top dental schools in the nation at the top of his class where he was recognized for his academic achievements through the Dean’s List while receiving multiple awards for clinical excellence.
Dr. Asturia’s passion for the profession extended beyond the walls of the school where, during his academic years, he would work to finish his requirements early to then travel across America to places like Illinois and Colorado to learn more of the best and most modern techniques from the brightest dentists and surgeons in the field. Dr. Asturia integrates his exceptional clinical expertise with advanced training in implants and dental aesthetics to help you achieve your desired smile. He stays at the head of new technologies and advancements in dentistry where he continues to attend continuing education courses nationwide.
In his free time, Dr. Asturia loves cooking, traveling, camping, fishing, kayaking, playing tennis, and playing his guitar. Dr. Asturia also enjoys community service and can be found serving in other dental-related philanthropic works!
Julio Sanchez, DDS, FICOI
Dr. Julio Sanchez is a distinguished graduate of Marquette University School of Dentistry, where he earned his doctor of dental surgery degree and connected with his wife, Dr. Jessica Fernandez. He is a dedicated member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry and holds the esteemed title of fellow at the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
Dr. Sanchez is well-versed in the challenges and discomfort associated with oral and maxillofacial issues. In his practice in Ocala, FL, he collaborates closely with his patients to develop tailored plans aimed at healing and ongoing oral health management.
